CONVEYANCE MARCH 24th 1860
The Executors of Sarah Shard (click Charles & Sarah Shard) of Grymsdyke sold to Charles Brown of Stockings (Stocken Farm), Portobello Close with gardens and pasture of 2 acres, 2 roods, and 15 perches.
MARCH 9th 1881. DEATH OF CHARLES BROWN
Charles Brown left his estate to be divided between his three nieces. He had already sold Stocking Farm. Fourteen cottages were independently estimated as worth £971–13s-10d
CONVEYANCE FEBRUARY 22nd 1886
All fourteen cottages were purchased for £971–13s–10d by Charles Brown’s executor, Frederick Aldridge Clark. The proceeds divided to the three nieces.
CONVEYANCE OF GIFT
1894. Frederick Aldridge Clark put the 14 cottages in trust for his daughter, Margaret Emma Clark, one of Charles Brown’s nieces.
