Research Note. Ted was born at Darvills Hill Farm which he inherited in 1952. For many years he was the farm manager for Ishbel Ridgley (Ishbel MacDonald) at Speen Farm. When it was sold in 1958? he bought all the live and dead stock and brought it to Darvills Hill Farm.
