Glenys Downing is not a local history researcher, but she is interested in her own family history and she has kept all the relevant documents from 1731 which she lent to me for my records.

Glenys is the daughter of Edward "Ted" Anderson and Monica Nicholls.

Research Note. Ted was born in 1905 at Darvills Hill Farm which he inherited in 1952. For many years he was the farm manager for Ishbel Ridgley, (Ishbel MacDonald) at Speen Farm. When the farm was sold in 1958 ? he bought all the live and deadstock and brought it Darvills Hill Farm

Ted Anderson born 1905 was the son of Ernest Edward & Lily Rose Anderson

Monica Nicholls was born at Vincent Farm, Naphill

Ted and Monica had 1 daughter Glenys Anderson, born 1941 married ? Downing, divorced in 1992. They had 1 son :-

Adrian born ? married Charlotte.

Research Note. Monica Anderson felt strongly that Darvills Hill would be a lonely place for Glenys to be brought up there being few children and pursuaded Ted to move to Naphill. He let Davills Hill Farm House to ? Dagliesh, a zoo-oligyst retaining and farming the land himself.
