Ishbel born 1903 was the daughter of Ramsey and Margaret Macdonald. He was the 1st Labour Prime Minster, in power three times, first in 1924. He was a widower and from the age of 20, Ishbel was the hostess at no 10 Downing Street.
In 1936, her father having retired, she bought The Plough at Flowers Bottom, on the Speen to Lacey Green road.
She married a local carpenter Norman Ridgley and purchased Speen Farm where they lived. The entrance to Speen Farm at that time was beside the Pub. Norman died in 1950.
In 1953 she married James Peterkin of Lossiemouth, NE Scotland, living in her father's family home. She then let Speen Farm.
