Thomas Hawes born 1803 was the son of John & Hannah Hawes

Caroline Turner born 1806 was the daughter of Thomas & Sarah Turner, and widow of James Rixon born 1804.

1851 Census. The family has moved. Thomas is a steward of an 88 acre farm at Owlswick.

Thomas and Caroline had 5 Children s follows :-

Benjamin Hawes born 1829 married Charlotte Reading in 1858. Moved to Kimble. (note. In 1851 Benjamin living at Lane Farm, Church Lane, Lacey Green with William Floyd and family)

Sarah Hawes born 1832

Mary Ann Hawes born 1835

Susannah Hawes born 1840 married James Tilbury in 1864.

Thomas Hawes born 1846 married Isabella Brill in 1866. Emigrated to Queensland, Australia, 9 children, all born in Aus.
