Death. Clara Gladys died 18th December 1988 at 'Edgerley', Loosley Hill Road (The house next door to 'Clarensted'.)
Obituary notice in Hallmark - Sadly, in Mrs Clara Stevens, the Chapel has lost another member. Clara attended Sunday Schho as a child and from the age of fourteen played the piano and the organ. She regularly attended services and events, gently encouraging members and welcoming visitors in her own inimitable way. Her devotion and presence will be greatly missed by us all and our deepest synpathy goes to Ted, Dudley, Marion, Vanessa and Tim
