John Gomme, born 1840
The grandfather of John, born 1840 was John Gomme, born 1788 and Mary Ann, nee Stevens. They had three children, Mary born 1809, William baptised 1813 and John born 1813.
The father of John, born 1840 was John Gomme, born 1813 and Mary Ann, nee Parslow, born 1810. They married on 22nd September 1834. He took the tenancy of the forge in 184? They had the following Children ---

Lena Mary Ann Gomme born 1859, married Raymond J. L. Biggs. Raymond farmed at Bradenham, Walters Ash the Ewelme, Oxfordshire. Lena died 18th August 1928, a widow, at 38 Desborough Park Road, High Wycombe.
Kilburn John Gomme born 1861- 1929 On 25th August 1890 Kilburn married Julia Rixon, born 1860. Kilburn was an agricultural engineer at the foundry.
Francis Eva Gomme born 1862 -1945 Eva married 20th December 1888 to Albert Wood born 1860 at Speen. Eva and Albert lived at Red House Farm, Speen.

Minnie Gomme born 1870. In the 1891 census Minnie was visiting her sister Eva and Albert Wood who lived at Red House Farm, Speen. In 1894 Minnie married Harry George Wood. The 1901 census gives them living in one of Hampden Villas in Princes Risborough. Harry is the returning officer for Births, deaths, vaccinations and schools attendance officer. In 1911 they are living at 21 Markham Square, Chelsea, London. Harry is working for the Board of Guardians as returning officer. Minnie died in April 1946 aged 76.
Ralph Gomme born 17th April 1874, married 4th October 1905 to Ellen Nolan Thrupp. In 1911 he was the private chauffeur to Colonel Tighe of Loosley House. Ralph and Ellen lived in the cottage of Loosley House. Their daughter Connie Lillah Gomme was born there in 1908. Click Fred Baker & Con Gomme for more about Connie Gomme. In the 1939 Register (census) Ralph Gomme of The Foundry, Loosley Row is listed as an iron moulder. Ralph died 18th May 1949 at Foundry Cottage, Loosley Row. His executors were John William Saunders, builder, and Fred Harvey Baker, iron founder. his son-in-law. .
