Will McBurney and his wife Sarah came to Lacey Green in ? He was a teacher at Lacey Green School

Hallmark April 1980. The St John's Choir and Orchestra presented a musical evening at the Village Hall on March 26th. Under their conductor Mr McBurnie, the children must be congratulated on the standard they achieved.

Among the programme were such items as 'Rooster Rag' by the choir, 'The Entertainer', ;Eleanor Rigby', and 'Match of the Day' from the band and Orchestra, with solo items by Emma Ferguson, Jason Hayes, Catherine Shiu and Katy Teare. Mrs Stansfield was the Accompanist, and the children were stage managed and controlled by Mr Caudrey and Mrs Holt.
