Hallmark September 1982. "A new Community Choir has been formed under the direction of William 'Will' BcBurnie and received great inaugural praise.
Hallmark April 1983. Report by Stella Boll. St. John's Community Choir, leader Will McBurnie, is at present rehearsing Vivaldi's 'Gloria' for a concert to be held at 7.30 pm in St John's Church on Saturday 7th May. The choir are to be joined on this occasion by Bulmershe Madrigal Choir from Reading and accompanied by an orchestra made up of mainly local musicians.
