The 81st Club was founded in 1958 by Mrs Isdell-Carpenter, Mrs Frances Rutland and Mrs Ferris. It would normally have been called a 'Derby & Joan', but it was decided to call it the 81st Club because it was the 81st in the county.
In 1959 Frances Rutland became the chairman.
Hallmark October 1985. Mrs. Frances Rutland has been awarded a certificate by 'Telecom! for her work in the district with the elderly and disabled people. She will be remembered in the village as one of the founder members of the 81st Club, and during twenty years of service to the club she held at various times the position of President, Chairman and Treasurer until forced to retire to care for her husband. But she still continued her voluntary work at Icknield Court, Princes Risborough, this last 17 years, where they have a deep regard for her as a very caring person.
