Woodway Cottage
11th June 1824. Edward Anderson of Darvills Hill, baker, leased from the Manor ground called "Collins" at Loosley Row of 1 acre, previously Thomas Barefoot's cottage with meadow/orchard of 2 acres and 3 closes of arable of 8 acres called Great Anthony. Little Anthony and Lower Baggs, now 1 close with 2 cottages on it built by Thomas Barefoot on Upper Woodway, Loosley Row in which Thomas Barefoot the younger and William Adams had dwelt. Also allotment in Middle Field of 2 roods, 13 poles.
'Collins' was the name given to the house later known as Loosley House during its occupancy by the family of Sir George Stephen from circa 1829 to 1849, built on the 1 acre of land called 'Collins'.
