Joseph Briscoe was born 1847 in Long Crendon, the son of James & Hannah Briscoe

Jane Stratford born 1845 was the daughter of William Free Stratford and Louisa, nee Lovett

Joseph and Jane married at Thame in 1866

Joseph and Jane had 3 children as follows :-

George Briscoe born 1870, died 1872.

Sally Rosa Briscoe born 1872.
