In 1823 Valletta did not exist. The land on which it was later built was part of the vast Common of Princes Risborough which covered much of Lacey Green and some land on the hilltop of Loosley Row. Click Princes Risborough Common to see two maps.

Schedule. 2 pieces of land in Lacey Green known as Middle Ground and Brick Kiln Ground, respectively 7acres 3roods 20perches and 8acres 0roods 23perches. Together with the messuage and premises erected on the piece of land known as Middle Ground. Altogether known as Bakery Farm, Lacey Green.
Together with a general and unlimited right of way over that part of the road known as Kiln Road, Lacey Green which is private and unadopted.
