S Hickman & Sons (Builders) Ltd was founded by Sidney 'Sid' Hickman, builder when his two sons Reginald 'Reg' and Frank joined him as builders in his business.

Sydney Henry Janes of The Bakehouse, Lacey Green, baker sold at auction to S Hickman & Sons (Builders) Ltd, reg. office, Loosley Row for £5,400
Schedule. 2 pieces of land in Lacey Green known as Middle Ground and Brick Kiln Ground, respectively 7acres 3roods 20perches and 8acres 0roods 23perches. Together with the messuage and premises erected on the piece of land known as Middle Ground. Altogether known as Bakery Farm, Lacey Green.
Together with a general and unlimited right of way over that part of the road known as Kiln Road, Lacey Green which is private and unadopted.
