George and Suzannah Smith lived in Holborn, Mddx. Suzannah married against her parents wishes to either the coachman, gardener or servant of her employer - and they turned her out. Her husband George died of T.B. On being widowed she went as housekeeper to Sir Gilbert Scott and took her youngest son Robert with her. Sir received a pension from Sir Gilbert.
George and Suzannah had 6 children as follows :-

Suzannah Smith, died aged 12
Kate Smith
Robert Smith married Lina, his boss's daughter. Robert was a sculpter, he worked on the Albert Memorial and York Minster.
