"In the past years , thanks to the catering efforts of Geoff & Marcia Prince, a rousing evening of dancing after the 'eats' shook down the supper. For this one occasion the hall does not to be big enough.
Many thank to all the helpers who helped prepare and make the evening run so smoothly, also our thanks to villagers who donated raffle prizes.
Once again thanks to Geoff and Marcia and all who participated in this event. It was an evening to remember.
Profit to Hall Fund was £380.
April 1984 report in Hallmark by Lily Barber, Village Hall Social Committee Secretary. Once again the Turkey Supper was a great success, some folk say "the best ever". We seem to go from strength to strength with this event, thanks to Marcia Prince, the Social Committee, and all the villagers that rallied round. A special thanks to the folk who donated prizes for the raffle, which netted £74. The whole evening made a profit of £431, a record and a really great effort.
