Leonard Janes born 1877 in Lacey Green was the son of Abel George Janes and Ellen Stallwood. See George & Ellen Janes
Annie Harmon born in 1879 in Loosley Row was the daughter of William & Sarah Harmon
Leonard and Annie married in 1906
They lived in no. 3 Portobello Cottages. Main Road, Lacey Green.
Leonard was at first an agricultural labourer, later he worked for a builder and worked on the building of the T.B. Sanitorium on the Saunderton side of the hill. Ironically he was to die there.
Leonard and Annie had 2 children as follows :-
Harold William Janes born 1908 married Clara Elizabeth Williams, from Owlswick. See Harold & Clara Janes.
