ONE MONTHS HARD LABOUR.
ANDREW BRISCOE was sentenced to 1 month’s hard labour for stealing 15lbs of bacon from Herbert Witney, a grocer of Lacey Green.
Editor’s comment. In the 1911 census, Herbert Witney aged 41, had moved from Turnip End and was a grocer & shopkeeper on Woodway, Loosley Row. With him were his wife Alice Maud and seven of their eight children.
