The annual Pancake Race organised by The Womens Institute, was instigated by Mollie Hickman (click Frank & Mollie Hickman for more about Mollie).
Hallmark February 1983. reported by Mrs Barbara J Edwards for the W.I. The Pancake Race on Tuesday February 15th will take a new route this year, avoidng the Main Road. Pancakes, coffee and soft drinks will be served in the Village Hall after the race and there will be a raffle and a Bring and Buy Stall.
