In the 1960's a new bungalow in Church Lane, Lacey Green, called Black Firs replaced a bungalow called 'Home Sweet Home'. See Home Sweet Home for the history of the old home. Black Firs was later much enlarged
Research Note by Laurence Rostron. After the death of Ted Saunders his family demolished the bungalow Black Firs and in 1997 they built the existing house.
