John Gomme, born 1840 was the son of John and Mary Gomme


The father of John, born 1840 was John Gomme, born 1813 and Mary Ann Parslow, born 1810. They married on 22nd September 1834. He took the tenancy of the forge in 1840. It became known as The Foundry. They were blacksmiths, not farriers (They did not shoe horses). They had the following Children --

Lena Mary Ann Gomme born 1859, married Raymond J. L. Biggs. Raymond farmed at Bradenham, Walters Ash the Ewelme, Oxfordshire. Lena died 18th August 1928, a widow, at 38 Desborough Park Road, High Wycombe.
