Archie had previously married in 1919 to Emily Beatrice Currell, daughter of Free Currell. They had no children.
 
 
 
Elsie had previously been engaged to John Rixon of Speen.  John Rixon was killed in August 1918 fighting Austrians in the Italian Dolomites (Taken from the Speen and North Dean News, issue 57).

1900. On the return of Lt. C E Forrest from the Boer War. Prior to the start, the Speen Brass Band (under the direction of Mr. W.
