William Floyd born 1718 was the son of Joseph & Elinor Floyd. He was a brickmaker and yeoman, living in Lacey Green

William married about 1743/5.

William Floyd died in 1801. He made his Will in May 1801 as follows :- See People with Wills

To my daughter Mary, wife of Francis Stone of Smalldean, my copyhold cottage at Speen also garden, orchard, 1.5 acres part copyhold, part freehold, occupied by John Lacey and Richard Lane.

To my son William £60, to William and son in law Francis Stone the cottage at Loosley Row occupied by William Turner. Also my garden plot adjoining the Kiln and close with trees near the Kiln. Also half an acre of arable in Row Field

After my debts are paid, monies remaining to be put in trust for the maintenance of the children of my son John. Then when they are all 21 years of age any left to go to them in equal shares.

William and his wife had the following children :-

William Floyd born 1745 married Eliza Stone in 1788. William inherited £60 from his father and was made trustee of his brother John's Children

John Floyd born 1749 married Sarah Janes in 1792. John died in 1800. Click John Floyd & Sarah nee Janes

Elizabeth Floyd, twin, born 1751, died 1753

Eleanor Floyd , twin, born 1751, died 1755.

Mary Floyd born 1757 married Francis Stone in 1773.
