Research by Rita Probert. Sir George Stephen a philanthropist, born St Kitts, West Indies in 1791 lived at ‘Collins’ (now Loosley House), Lower Road, Loosley Row. He had purchased the property in the late 1830’s and later, also bought Collins Farm and Collins Cottage for his wife Henrietta’s relatives the Ravenscrofts.

The Executors of Ernest Smith, who died 4th October 1971 at Pound Farm, Saunderton, conveyed ord no 242, land fronting to Lower Road, Loosley Row, to Sidney Dennis Fountain and Lynda Winifred Fountain

1983. Frank & Hilda Garner had now owned Collins Farm for some years.. Frank was about to retire and wrote to John & Frances Thomas-Davies then in Tasmania inviting them to come back to Collins Farm and for John to work there and at Culverton Farm.

Note. John Thomas-Davies in an interview with Joan West in 2025 explained that Frances had the riding school built for use by the Riding For the Disabled charity.

Frances had inherited from her father but not wanting to farm, in 1990's gave various property equally between their children.
