1934 John William Saunders. Chairman
Ted Janes. Councillor 1951-1985. Chairman 27 years
Donald Elliott White (Don White) joined the Council in1979 as an independent member for Speen. becoming Chairman in 1984 until he retired in 2007. (Click 2007 Councillor Don White for more of Don's history)
1985 Dennis Claydon. Persuaded by outgoing Ted Janes (told by Ted to Joan West). Dennis served for over 25 years, many of them as Deputy Chairman, until his death in 2015
