Ralph married Jessie on 25th December 1921 at Kilburn, where Jessie was working as a clerk. Ralph was a chairmaker.
They lived at The Stret, Loosley Row for a few years then moved to Wayside, Main Road, Lacey Green.
In the 1939 Register Ralph is listed as an insurance agent. He died in 1956
Jessie died in 1982. An obituary by Harry Church was printed in Hallmark as follows :-
"Mrs Jessie Biggs. A 'Londoner'. Mrs Biggs adapted herself to village life after marrying Ralph Biggs, a well known Loosley Row man, who died some years ago. (She was very proud of her family of 3 boys and 2 girls, making a very close-knit family unit.
Mrs Biggs was what I, in an affectionate way, call a 'forceful' lady, having her own individual way in how things should be done.
One of her best loved recreations was Whist, being seen regularly at all local Drives all round the district; winning many prizes, because make no mistake, she was GOOD at the game as I often found to my cost
p.s. In Jessie's obituary a note about her son had been included, which is here attached to Edwin's notes :-
They had 5 children as follows :-
