Kiln Cottages were made in the barn belonging to Kiln Farm in Kiln Lane, LG. They were later called Kiln Barn

Hallmark February 1988. Planning Application for Renovation of existing cottages including alterations to outbuildings to form dwelling at Kiln Lane.

In her obituary for Dennis Claydon Rosemary Mortham wrote :-

"His mother, Criscilla Hickman was from Turnip End and his father, William Joseph Claydon (‘Joe’) was one of six brothers, George Claydon (father of John), Frank Claydon, Albert Claydon (who emigrated to Canada), Charlie Claydon, Joe Claydon and Harry Claydon. They lived in Kiln Cottage (now known as Kiln Barn), and the boys slept in the shed outside.
