By 1968 the wooden property 'Beggars Roost' in Loosley Row had gone and a development of 4 houses was built on the site.

One of them, called 'Beggard Wood was bought by Laurence & Linda Rostron. They paid £8500 for the house, living there until 1995.

Laurence was told that Beggars Roost had been lived in by a retired seaman.
