The School House, Pink Road
The School House was built in the 1930's with the £350 obtained from the sale of Loosley Row School. Land was purchased on the Pink Road, Lacey Green, part of which was sold, then a house was built facing Pink Road. It was called School House and held in trust by the Vicar and Churchwardens to be used as a head teachers' house for Lacey Green School to which children from Loosley Row now attended.
The land upon which it was built was also held in trust by the Vicar and Churchwardens to be Glebe Land supporting the Parish Church.

Census 1939. School House
William Gurney 34 grocery and provision dealer and Florence E Gurney 41, certified headmistress Lacey Green School.
Headmaster Douglas & Mrs Anthony were the last to live in the house before he bought their own property and the house was let.
_
The Reverend Raymond Maynard, vicar, put the house up for sale, the money going to the Charity Commissioners without consulting either the Parochial Church Council or the School Managers.
This would have put the money into the general church coffers. Luckily this was spotted by Joan West (treasurer of the School Managers). Calling on John Gabbitas, solicitor, to confirm her understanding that this property was endowed in the Vicar and Churchwardens of Lacey Green, The Charity Commissioners were called upon to confirm that the money would provide for Lacey Green School only.
