Added Information. All very happy memories.

Both my younger sisters Kate and Sophie also went to St. John's. We are all still in contact with friends from the school, even though we have moved away from the area.

I remember the huge playing field, sports days and the teams we had - hawks, kestrels, falcons and eagles. I was kestrels (red).

The vicar 'lecturing' us about stealing and quoting an incident from his childhood when he stole chocolate! I think we heard that story more than once!

Mr Keen getting your attention by holding your hair!

Mr Caudrey's woodwork classes & I think we all made fish on sticks.

School Assembley - favourite hymns were 'Onward Christion Soldiers' ( we stamped in time) and 'All things Bright and beautiful'.

Sponsored litter walks

Miss Agnew telling the boys to tuck their petticoats (shirt tails) in and telling us off for having 'mother's meetings' (chatting)
