Horace Rixon born 1891 was the son of Edwin & Clara Rixon at no 2 Parslows Hillock Cottages.

His parents were Edwin Rixon born 1866 and Clara, nee Dormer born 1871. His grandparents were George Rixon & Emma nee Lane who lived at No 1 Clovelly Cottages.

Horace's mother Clara was the daughter of Eli Dormer 1831- 1920 and Mary A. nee Williams, born Flowers Bottom, the daughter of James Williams, stonecutter.

Eli was a sawyer. By 1891 he was the licensee of a public house on Woodway, Loosley Row but by 1911, Eli was lodging with Edwin and Clara (parents of Horace)

Edwin and Clara had 3 children ----- Horace born 1891, Alfred born 1893 became a carpenter, and Ernest Charles born 1896.

Horace Rixon born 1891 In 1912 Horace married Ivy Mary Harwood, 1895-1980 Horace was a bodger (a bodger, was skilled, turning wood into legs, arms and backs for Windsor chairs, working in the woods.
