This name was usually spelt 'Bearfoot' until the 1900's, when it gradually changed to 'Barefoot'.
Oliver Bearfoot was the son of Thomas Bearfoot born 1784 and his 2nd wife Mary Taylor.
Mary Ann Anderson was the daughter of John & Jane Anderson
Oliver and Mary Ann married in 1884. They lived at Flowers Bottom. See Hamlet of Flowers Bottom

Owen Free Barefoot 1888-1916. Owen Free Barefoot died WW1, 7th October 1916, aged 28. Ox and Bucks Light Infantry, 6th Battalion. Killed in Action, Thiepval Memorial. Harry Barefoot born1896 married Annie 'Constance' Barefoot in 1919 (Constance was daughter of John & Emma Bearfoot of Amen Corner, Loosley Row.) They lived in Park cottage in Church Lane, opposite the church. Researcher's note. Harry and Constance were quite short and although the cottage was small it suited them perfectly. They had 1 daughter Barbara Barefoot born 1921. She married Maurice Dell of Hampden in 1947.
Harry died in 1978. Constance died in 1975. (Harry & Annie Constance were distant cousins. They had the same great, great, grandfather, Thomas born 1782.)
