In 1988 the following was published in Hallmark:-
" We bid goodbye and good luck to our Neighbourhood Watch Hon. Secretary Peter Pilkington and his wife Sally who move to Belgium where Peter takes up a business appointment. Once again we have lost an efficient and hard working officer from the Society, and again we desperately need new blood in the committee.
