The School House, Pink Road

The School House was built in the 1930's with money obtained from the sale of the school at Loosley Row.

The Loosley Row School

The Emma Grace Foundation was constituted by a deed dated 3rd October 1862, following the sale of Ash Farm, Walters Ash, near Naphill Common.   It was vested in the vicar and church wardens of St. John’s Church, Lacey Green, the income to be divided between Speen and Loosley Row for the benefit of schools.

1862.  Loosley Row School was built as a school “for teaching of poor children in the neighbourhood of Loosley Row” up to the age of 11 or 12 years.

About 1930 the school was closed.    The children moved to Lacey Green School and the property was sold

With the proceeds land was purchased on the Pink Road, Lacey Green and after the sale of part of it a house was built and held in trust by the vicar and church wardens as before, to be used as a teacher’s house for Lacey Green school

The old school in Loosley Row was sold for in 1930 for £350
