Inherited from Joshua Dell The properties in Lacey Green in this sale were inherited from Joshua Dell (1751- 1843) who owned in 1823 (Enclosures) the farm later known as Floyds Farm.

To James Dell. Having no children he left all his property to his great nephew James Dell (1800 - 1875), grandson of his brother Thomas and his wife Ann Dell of Stocken Farm.

To Thomas Dell They were inherited by Thomas Dell The eldest son of James(1819 - 1891). In his will Thomas directed that the properties should be sold, the proceeds to be divided between his children.

24th June 1915. Particulars of Sale by the order of James Dell, the surviving executor of the late Mr.Thomas Dell of Saunderton, who died in 1891.

LOT 3.

An OLD-FASHIONED COTTAGE & Capital Garden. (Later called Kia Cottage).   The cottage contains 4 rooms, woodhouse and water tank and is let to Mr. Amos James, an old-standing tenant at a rental of £6-10s -0d. p.a. Purchased by Mr.H. G. Hickman, Harold Hickman for £185.

Editor’s note.   In 1924 Mr. Hickman built in the garden, a house called ‘Wembley’, the ground floor he made into ‘Hickmans Stores’.

LOT 4.

FREEHOLD ACCOMMODATION HOLDING with DWELLING HOUSE containing 4 rooms and SIX ACRES of ARABLE and GRASS LAND. (Ed. Later known as Floyds Farm).  Also BARN, PIG STYES, STABLE & HEN HOUSES.   Let to Mr. Peter Floyd, an old-standing tenant, at a rental of £15 per annum.

PURCHASED by Frederick William Floyd, Fred Floyd son of Peter Floyd, for £640.
