WEATHER

February 5^th Shocking weather, attendance low all week.   November 25^th. Severe frost and a fall of snow.   December 9^th. Very wet weather.   

ILLNESS  (BAD COLDS)

February 5^th. Illness among the infants.   December 16^th. Bad colds make attendance low.

DISTRACTIONS FROM SCHOOL

May 30^th. Attendance very low owing to the chapel treat at Loosley Row.   July 11^th. Half-holiday owing to the the anniversary of Speen Chapel.  August 5^th. The attendance has suffered this week, owing to several attractions in the neighbourhood.  September 26^th. Tea at Lacey Green chapel and the holding of Wycombe fair caused smaller attendance.  October 20^th. Bazaar at Loosley Row so attendance low.

EXTRA-CURRICULA

July 14^th.The infants were taken by Miss Hawes to a neighbouring garden for a lesson on “strawberries”.

HAYMAKING & HARVEST.  July 1^st. Hay harvest has commenced.    August 12^th. Harvest started attendance low.

H.M.I. SCHOOL REPORT.   Master Albert Phillips, assistant mistress, Miss. Hawes, monitress, Miss. Cheshire

JUNE.   MIXED SCHOOL.   The staff has b190een so inadequate as to produce some serious difficulties, but Mr. Roebuck has met them successfully and deserves credit for what he has done.  It is of course necessary that a full staff should be available as soon as possible.   INFANTS CLASS.   The infants have suffered through the continued absence of their regular teacher, through illness, but they are in fair general condition.   Needlework and drawing are especially weak subjects.

DIOCESAN REPORT.   November.  The children passed a very fair examination and I was satisfied with the results of my inspection.   Miss Hawes is very successful with the little ones.
