In 1932 houses were built facing onto the occupation road, servicing the Allotment.  As these were built on bits of allotment this road of houses was known as ‘[https://laceygreenhistory.com/w/index.php/The_Bitfield The Bitfield]’.   Thirty years later it was renamed ‘Westlands Road'.
