Charlotte Martin was the daughter of
Jesse and Charlotte married in 1822 at Hughenden
In the Census they lived at Darvills Hill. Jesse was a chair turner (bodger), baker and grocer, the shop was run by Charlotte. (Put 'bodger' in Search for other wood turners.)
Charlotte died in 1868
Probate. Jesse died on 29th June 1878. His executor was Jesse Dell, chair manufacturer, his son.
Jesse and Charlotte had 6 children as follows :-
Simeon Dell born 1824 married Elizabeth Alice Tilbury from Little Kingshill. They had 2 children, Uriah born 1871 and Ann Charlotte born 1877. Simeon died in 1878
Mary Ann Dell born 1826 married James Martin of Upper North Dean. James was a wheelwright.
