Dear Editor,

After nearly eight years I am hoping those many friends who have been bringing tied paper to the hut at the vicarage will continue to do so.

We have saved over fifty tons with about £320 profit for the church, and charities through The Mothers Union.

Please note that I can't continue collecting your waste, since I am neglecting other duties, and with the cost of petrol now makes the stop-start job rather costly. I have packed over 30 tons into my old 1961 Rover.

I am very grateful to all of you for this steady back-up job you have done, month by month, and these figures speak of your success.
