'Beggars Roost' was built in Loosley Row
1939 Register (census). William G Cullum 31 pig breeder, Margaret P Cullum 29 domestic and assistant, 2 absent for war, Phyllis M Kimble 16 general domestic & assisting on farm (married Dore).
By 1968 this wooden property had gone and a development of 4 houses was built on the site.
One of them was bought by Laurence & Linda Rostron. It was called Beggars Wood. Laurence was told that Beggars Roost had been lived in by a retired seaman.
Hallmark August 1992. Elizabeth Southon is mentioned as Membership Secretary of The Twinning Association.
