1935 from the Parish Council records :- "Proposed by Councillor Parslow, seconded by Councillor Wood, that the following persons be nominaed to serve as Parish Constable for the ensuing year. Messrs Sidney Hickman, Sydney Henry Janes, Ernest Edward Anderson (Junior) and Ernest Frank Rixon.
