Ralph Gomme born 1875 was the son of John & Sarah Gomme

Ellen Nolan Thrupp was born in Woolwich and had come to live in Loosley Row when her widowed mother had taken a position as a housekeeper there.

Excerpt from Hallmark 1978. "news from the past" (1905/6). "At the close of the football match the Sports Club President ( Rev.W. Robson) on behalf of the members of the Lacey Green Football Club, presented a silver-plated dinner cruet to the captain, Mr. Ralph Gomme, as a slight token of regard and expression of good fellowship on the occasion of his recent marriage. The members broke out with 'For he's a jolly good fellow' after which Mr Gomme suitably responded.
