By 1968 the wooden property 'Beggars Roost' in Loosley Row had gone and a development of 4 houses was built on the site.
One of them was bought by Laurence & Linda Rostron. It was called Beggars Wood. They paid £8500 for the house, living there until 1995.
Laurence was told that Beggars Roost had been lived in by a retired seaman.
