VILLAGE HALL AGM REPORT 7th MARCH 1979 (Hallmark)

“The A.G.M. of the Village Hall was held on March 7^th, surprisingly with a smaller attendance than last year.   I say surprisingly, because with building work in progress at the hall I would have expected stimulated interest.  Those who did attend were welcomed by the Chairman, Randall Evans, who outlined the work already in progress on stage 1 on the hall renovation and extensions, to be completed by June, and the second stage, provided grants are available, to carry on from June, to be completed by the end of September or early October.

A jubilant Treasurer reported a record year with income from lettings, fund-raising and investment totalling over £4,000.

Representative members - as 1980 except that Mrs L E Lennard took the place of Mrs Sanders for the 81st club and Miss D Parslow now represented the Methodist Church.

Notice in Hallmark June 1981. The Village Hall Committee would like to place on record their appreciation to Geoff Prince as Treasurer of the Committee for 9 years. He saw us through the difficult years of fund raising and building the new hall; now unfortunately he has resigned. His place is taken by Mr B Lunn, and Mrs S Parslow becoming Secretary. Both these positions have now been restored to annually elected positions rather than non-voting officers of the last few years. Mr Randall Evans has been elected Chairman for another year, and Mr P Trotter co-opted onto the committee,
