On Wednesday last John Janes of Lacey Green aged 67, was returning home from [[Stocken Farm]] in charge of a horse and cart.  He was riding on the horse when he fell off onto his back, one of the wheels passing over his body.  He was taken to his residence and the surgeon, Mr Warren of Princes Risborough was sent for.  Mr Janes died before he could arrive.

Mr Janes died before he could arrive.

An inquest was arranged at Mrs Ginger's beerhouse (The Black Horse) where Mr Fell, the coroner passed a verdict of accidental death.
