Albert and Gertrude married in 1907 at Amersham.

1911 census. Station Road, Amersham. Albert Stevens 35 (born 1876) Road foreman for C.C., Gertrude 34 small drapery shop keeper, Albert Edgar 3 months.

Researcher's Note. Dudley & Marion Stevens (Dudley is Albert's grandson) wrote the following information for me :-

"The grandmother of Dudley Stevens was Gertrude Hoare. She came from Wales in domestic service to Shardlows House, Amersham. Here she met Albert Stevens who worked in the gardens.
