Robert & Sarah married in 1996
1911 Census. Vine Tree Cottage (see Vine Cottage). Research Note. All family present except Ernest who was born later that year.
1939 Register (Census). Vine Tree Cottage. Sarah Oakford 70, George Oakford 33 railway platelayer, Leonard Oakford 31 tree feller, Hilda Quinton 37, 2 absent for war.
Robert and Sarah had 9 children, who were all born in the parish of Princes Risborough, as follows :-
William Oakford born 1898 fought in WW1 from October 1915
Isabella L Oakford born 1899 married Albert F Clifford in October 1925. See Albert & Isabella Clifford
Thomas John Oakford born 1900 married Rosa Stevens in April 1926. See Thomas & Rosa Oakford
Clara Fanny Oakford born 1902 married Arthur James Shearman in September 1926. They lived in High Wycombe
Margaret Sophia Oakford born 1904. In 1939 she was in Bucks Mental Hospital. She died in 1963, single.
