Daniel Rupert Ginger, known as 'Rupert', 1888-1918. In October 1908 enlisted as a shoeing smith in the 4th Dragoon Guards (Royal Irish). In the census of 1911 he was at the barracks in Brighton. Rupert died 30th November 1918 of bronchopneumonia at the military hospital, Nivelles, Brabant Walloon, Belgium, he was 31. Cem. Nivelle Communal Cem. Oliver George Ginger, known as 'George' born 1861 was the son of Daniel Westfield & Sophia Ginger.
Clara Williams born 1863 was the daughter of James Williams and Sarah, nee Ginger, (daughter of John Ginger)
George and Clara married in 1887.
George was recorded in every census as a farm labourer, except in 1871 when he was 9 years old, when he was a shepherd boy.
They lived in a cottage at Idle Corner, Lacey Green.
They had eight children as follows :-
Daniel Rupert Ginger, known as 'Rupert', 1888-1918. In October 1908 enlisted as a shoeing smith in the 4th Dragoon Guards (Royal Irish). In the census of 1911 he was at the barracks in Brighton. Rupert died 30th November 1918 of bronchopneumonia at the military hospital, Nivelles, Brabant Walloon, Belgium, he was 31. Cem. Nivelle Communal Cem. Grave 11.

Death
George Ginger died in 1928 at Lacey Green, his wife Clara died in 1955.
