Jabez Saunders born 1855 was the son of William and Louisa Saunders. See William Saunders born 1815 & Louisa, nee Lacey
Susan Hickman born 1854 was the daughter of Thomas & Eliza Hickman of Lacey Green
Jabez and Susan married in 1874.
Jabez worked at various farms until they settled at Dirty Wood Farm near Ellesborough by 1911.
They adopted Joseph Barker, born 1888.
Jabez died in 1918 (drowned in pond)
Probate. Jabez Saunders of Dirty Wood Farm died 19th January 1918. Executors William Saunders Farmer and Susan Saunders, widow, £1,082-2s-4d.
Susan died in 1922.
