Hallmark August 1983 (extract). The aim of the playgroup is to introduce children of 3 years - 5 years to the delights of mixing and playing with other children and to being used to being supervised by other people than 'Mum'. It is only 2 mornings a week for 3 hours each morning, and is a gradual introduction to the joys of school at 5 years.
